Meg is a loveable witch whose spells are always going wrong. after the OVERTURE , she introduces her cat, Mog and her Owl, Owl. (MEG, MOG, AND OWL ).

Meg tries to make breakfast by magic but the spell goes wrong and she makes a hungry Stegosaurus instead. He starts eating everything in sight in Meg's house and garden (STEGGY STEGOSAURUS ).

Meg, Mog and Owl are powerless to stop him without a "Getting-rid-of-Steggy" spell so they fly to the Witches' Spell Party to ask for one.

The Witches, Tes, Jess, Bess and Cress are annoyed when Meg forgets their names
(WHICH WITCH IS WHICH? ). But they give Meg, Mog and Owl what they need (THE SPELL ) and send them to a castle in search of the first ingredient, a red ostrich feather. This they are given by a grateful Sir George after they help him defeat the bullying Sir Francois.

The second ingredient is the tooth of a tiger, so the next stop is the zoo
(TO THE ZOO ). They discover the tiger has escaped, and the Zookeeper, whose spectacles have been broken by an elephant, is so shortsighted he mistakes Mog for the tiger and locks him in a cage. Meg tries a transposition spell to make the tiger change places with Mog, but it goes wrong and Owl finds himself locked up instead.

Unseen by Meg, Mog and Owl the tiger appears and stalks them (TIGER MUSIC). He chases them, but turns out to be friendly (LONG IN THE TOOTH ). He gives them a tooth.

After the ENTR'ACTE, Meg, Mog and Owl set off for the third ingredient - moondust (DAY TRIP TO THE MOON ). They help a stranded astonaut, then fly home to their garden, which has been totally destroyed by the rampaging Stegosaurus, who has grown very fat and eaten so much he feels sleepy (STEGGY STEGOSAURUS REPRISE).

Using the three ingredients Meg chants the "Getting-rid-of-Steggy" spell. (THE SPELL REPRISE) but the spell goes wrong and the Zookeeper appears. He has never seen a Stegosaurus before and offers to take him to the zoo.

Meg is so grateful she offers to mend the Zookeeper's glasses. At last her magic works (I GOT A SPELL RIGHT ).

The other witches arrive and they all collaborate on a spell to make Meg's garden grow again (GROWING MUSIC). They celebrate before leaving Meg, Mog and Owl to rest after their exciting adventures (I GOT A SPELL RIGHT / FINALE).

A hugely enjoyable musical version of the Christmas story. Rock Nativity brings out the humanity of its characters to give us a contemporary and realistic view of this extraordinary event, accompanied by a superb pop-rock-gospel score.

The Gingerbread Man takes place on an antique kitchen dresser. The Gingerbread Man, newly baked by the Big Ones, meets Mr Salt, Miss Pepper and Herr Von Cuckoo, who lives in the cuckoo-clock. He has a sore throat which is ruining his "cuckoos", thus threatening to land him in the dreaded dustbin.

The Gingerbread Man's efforts to help Cuckoo's sore throat are hampered by the villainous scavenger Sleek the Mouse and by The Old Bag - an old tea-bag who lives in the teapot on the top shelf.

The Owl and the Pussycat set sail to find a ring and someone to marry them (THE OWL AND THE PUSSYCAT ).

They meet the Dong with the luminous nose, who is sad because he has lost his Jumbly Girl
(THE SONG OF THE DONG ).

Dong takes Owl and Pussycat to meet the Quangle Wangle, whose beaver hat is a hotel
(THE QUANGLE WANGLE'S HAT ).

He takes them on a journey, accompanied by the Runcible Spoon to protect them from the villainous hungry Plum Pudding Flea (OFF WE GO ).

Dong meets Professor Bosh and joins his Plum Pudding Flea hunt (OFF WE GO - REPRISE).

The travellers have a rest but the Runcible Spoon sleepwalks and the Plum Pudding Flea nearly catches them. They set a honey trap for him
(HONEY SONG ). It works! (I'M STUCK ). He is nearly netted by Professor Bosh but escapes, leaving them stuck in the honey.

Owl, Pussycat and Quangle Wangle help the Piggywig who sells them the ring on the end of his nose. A sudden storm makes everyone hide
(FROM THE STORM ). The mad Jumblies are washed ashore in their sieve (THE JUMBLIES SONG ) and lick Professor Bosh and Dong out of their honey trap (HONEY SONG - REPRISE). Hearing there is an owl, Jumblies' favourite food, on the island, they rush off to find him, pursued by Professor Bosh.

Dong has found his beloved Jumbly Girl once more (A SYLLABUB SEA ). Owl, Pussycat and Quangle Wangle find the Turkey's house. The sleepwalking Runcible Spoon again saves them from the Plum Pudding Flea and they all meet the vicar (THE TURKEY'S SONG ) who forgets the wedding service. Owl and Pussycat hope to be married soon (A SYLLABUB SEA - REPRISE) but the Jumblies arrive and attack Owl; the five pound note saves him.

Professor Bosh hurries to the scene but is accidentally knocked out by the Turkey. Dong and Jumbly Girl girl arrive and help sort out the muddle. Quangle Wangle suggests a celebration (THE WEDDING FEAST ). The Plum Pudding Flea is caught in Professor Bosh's net. Owl and Pussycat are married at last and everyone dances for joy (BY THE LIGHT OF THE MOON )

The Chish 'N' Fips Songbook

Dear little Big Ones,

Here are the songs from our television series. We are especially pleased to welcome our friends CHIPS the cat, who sings THIS IS MY PATCH, and HENRIETTA the tortoise, who gives her stirring version of CLIMB EVERY DRAINPIPE plus the jaunty IT'S SPRINGTIME.

Bleep the robot doesn't sing, but he bleeped a special bleep of greetings to you all.

In our series, we journey on an exciting quest to find our Big Ones, who have moved house, and by mistake, left us behind. The songs reminds us of some of the places we visited, a zoo, a school, a fun fair, and even a launderette.

We hope you enjoy listening to our songs.

Your friends the gnomes.

P.S. A rather rude song, sung by a rather rude gnome, Mr Squeezebox, has somehow found its way onto this website. This was not our idea. Sorry.
